What does my camper need to bring every day?

Campers will need to bring proper camp attire (t-shirts, shorts, socks, running shoes and a hat), sunscreen, and any personal sports equipment they wish to use. A water bottle is a must.

Is there an early drop off and late pick-up option?

Please contact us at info@norforlksportscamp.com to inquire about early drop-off and late pick-up options. We strive to accommodate families' needs where possible.

What happens if it rains?

In case of inclement weather, including rain, we have indoor alternative activities planned to ensure campers remain active, safe, and engaged. We prioritize camper safety and fun regardless of the weather!

What sports equipment does my child need to bring with them?

Campers may bring any personal sports equipment they wish to use. Norfolk Sports Camp will also provide sports equipment for those who do not have their own or prefer to use ours.

Are there water filling stations?

Yes, we have access to water fountains for campers to refill their water bottles throughout the day, ensuring they stay hydrated. Bringing a water bottle is a must!

What is the camper to instructor ratio?

We maintain a low camper-to-instructor ratio of (8:1) to ensure personalized attention, quality coaching, and a safe environment for all participants.

What if my kid gets hurt or sick?

Camper safety is our top priority. We have certified first-aid staff on site. In case of minor injuries, appropriate first aid will be administered. For more serious incidents or illness, parents will be contacted immediately, and professional medical attention will be sought as needed.

What happens if my kid doesn't want to participate in the sport or activity?

Our coaches are trained to encourage participation in a positive and supportive manner. We offer a variety of sports and activities, and our goal is to help every camper find something they enjoy. If a child is consistently disengaged, we will communicate with parents to find the best approach.

What important things should parents know about a typical day at camp, like what their child needs to bring, or how drop-off and pickup work?

Drop-off and pick-up will happen in the park beside the ball hockey court. Campers will need to bring proper camp attire (t-shirts, shorts, socks, running shoes and a hat), sunscreen, and any personal sports equipment they wish to use. The camp will provide sports equipment for those who do not have equipment or want to use their own. A water bottle is a must, and the camp has access to water fountains for campers to refill throughout the day. Campers must be signed in and signed out by the same parent/guardian. If the person is different at pickup than the person at drop-off, the camp must be informed beforehand, and ID will be required to pick the camper up.
